FULL PROFESS0R IN SPORTS HISTORY
Field of specialisation: HISTORY OF SPORTS ACTIVITIES , INTERNATIONAL AND COLONIAL

Profile
- Ph.D. in sport science, in history, or title judged as equivalent.
- University teaching experience in the field of sports history and in the above mentioned
areas of specialisation.
- Recognised high level studies in the field of sports history and international history.
- Well-integrated in international networks
Teaching (45%)
It will be necessary to assure 6 weekly teaching hours (168 hours total) per year in the specialty areas covered by the post, according to the academic needs. One teaching hour per week could be given at the College of Humanities (CDH) at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL).
The incumbent will be responsible for guidance of the Master in Sport Sciences programme.
The incumbent will supervise master and doctoral theses.
Research (45%)
The successful candidate will work collaboratively to develop studies in the specialised fields esignated as pertinent in the Faculty (Research Sport Group of the University of Lausanne
Institute of Sport Sciences (ISSUL) and the Centre of international history and of political studies of the globalisation (CHRIM). These studies will lead to academic publications.
He/she will take responsibility for research contracts with the vision of favouring high level international collaborations and securing external funding, in particular from the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF).
Administrative tasks (10%)
In accordance with the legal system and the requirements of the collegial structure, the successful candidate agrees to assume job related administrative tasks from the Institute, the Faculty, the University and its associated bodies.

The post is affiliated with the Institute of Sport Sciences of the University of Lausanne (ISSUL) and the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences.
