Fixed-Term Contract: 29th September 2014 to 26th June 2015

You will lead seminars on the first-year undergraduate module ‘Kill or Cure: The History of Medicine and Health’ and teach (taking lectures and seminars) on the second-year undergraduate module ‘From Cradle to Grave: Health, Medicine and Lifecycle in Modern Britain’ in the History Department. You may also teach occasional lectures for other undergraduate modules if required by the Head of Department and where appropriate to your subject knowledge.

You will undertake lecturing, seminar teaching, essay tutorials, office hours, marking of undergraduate work, exam invigilation, and monitoring of student attendance in accordance with the Department’s quality assurance practices. You will be actively engaged in research in the history of medicine, or a comparable field.

You will join and contribute to the academic community of the Warwick University Centre for the History of Medicine, and participate in Centre activities.

You will possess experience in undergraduate teaching and subject specialism appropriate for research-led teaching in the history of medicine. You should also possess a PhD (or equivalent) in History / the History of Medicine.
