The Department of History of the University of North Carolina Wilmington invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship in the history of science, technology, and medicine, of any area or time period. The successful applicant will teach a two-semester history of science survey and other courses in his or her field as well as contribute to graduate teaching and research. The appointment date is August 2013.  A master's degree in history or a closely related field is required, Ph.D. preferred. ABDs will be considered but a Ph.D. in history or a closely related field must be obtained within the first academic year of appointment. 

Priority consideration will be given to completed applications received by November 2, 2012 but applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
