Description
The Institute for the History and Philosophy of Science and
Technology (IHPST) at the University of Toronto invites applications for
a tenure-stream appointment in History with Concentration in the
History of Social or Psychological Science, or the History of
Technology. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor
and will begin on July 1, 2014.Candidates must demonstrate excellence in, and commitment to, both research and teaching. The successful candidate will be expected to develop an externally funded research program and undertake graduate supervision as well as teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate level. The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in the History of Science or the History of Technology by July 1, 2014 or shortly thereafter. We seek candidates with an established record of excellent scholarly research and publication as well as a demonstrated commitment to teaching and evidence of excellent teaching.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
