The aim is to write a PhD dissertation on the mechanisms of institutional care of old people in the 19th and 20th century. The monthly salary is of €2000,- (tax free) plus an allowance for special expenses and travel. Applicants should have a Masters degree in a relevant subject area such as social science, history or philosophy of science. A special expertise and/or interest in the history of medicine or a related field are preferable. He/she must have a good command of the English, French and/or German languages. The monthly salary is of €3500 (tax free) plus an allowance for special expenses and travel.
