Embryological Models Before and After Aristotle
Workshop
University of Geneva on Thursday 26 and Friday 27 February 2026.
The aim of the conference is to explores ancient theories of generation, with a particular focus on how the Hellenistic traditions engaged in dialogue with the Presocratics, often in order to address issues raised by Aristotle. The discussion will bring to light both continuity and transformation across philosophical and medical contexts.
