Les expériences de la maladie chez les jeunes personnes

Speaking Out! Young people’s experiences of illness

Exhibition Launch

Friday 17 November 2023, 5.30 – 7.30pm

In person at 20 Cavendish Square, London W1G 0RN and online

Join us in the beautiful Cowdray Hall at the Royal College of Nursing for a very special night of poetry and conversation. Hear the first performance of a new work by spoken word artist (and nurse) Molly Case, inspired by research on children and young people’s experiences of cancer and sickle cell disease since 1945; join researchers and nurses in discussion about childhood illness and care, past and present; and take in a brand-new exhibition on the history of children’s nursing.

Doors will open at 5.30pm and the event will start at 6pm. The virtual event starts at 6pm. You will still need to book a ticket to receive the link: choose the "Online" ticket option.

This event is part of Being Human Festival, the UK’s national festival of the humanities, taking place 9–18 November 2023. Led by the School of Advanced Study, University of London, with generous support from Research England, in partnership with the Arts and Humanities Research Council and the British Academy.
