Topics in the History of Medicine
Volume 5 (2025)

A peer reviewed, fully open access, online only journal published annually by the BSHM https://bshm.org.uk/thom/

Guest Editor: Mr Bryan Rhodes

he aim of Topics in the History of Medicine is to promote scholarly work on all aspects of the history of medicine and healthcare by publishing a variety of articles including original research, biographical accounts and literature reviews. This edition of the journal will focus on the unorthodox, the unusual and the ephemeral within the history of medicine – concepts, inventions and practices which, with the benefit of hindsight, now appear illogical or somewhat bizarre. The Editors invite prospective authors to familiarise themselves with the Guidance for Authors on the journal website and submit proposals, which should include the title, a short abstract, list of sub-sections, numbers of figures and tables, and expected word-count, to the Editorial Team: editorial@bshm.org.uk.

THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF PROPOSALS IS 31 DECEMBER 2024.
