The successful post holder will work with Professor Paul Crawford and his team in the final year of a large interdisciplinary AHRC commissioned grant exploring the family life and work of Nightingale in Derbyshire.

The role will suit a candidate with a PhD in post-1800 literature or history, social geography or digital humanities with an interest in applications to understanding health, gender or the rise of industry.

The project will comprise community engagement, coordinating academic and other related events, supporting the management of the existing project website, collating and entering project impacts for researchfish, contributing to communications for the project, including supporting written reports.

In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to assist the team in developing overall engagement and impact of this project, not least focusing on outreach to international bodies and our established set of partners and in support of further funding bids around the history and literary representation of health in relation to either gender or the rise of industry. Opportunities to publish within or across these research areas will be actively encouraged.

This is post will be offered on a fixed term contract until 28 February 2021. The hours of work are part time, 25 per week.
