The workshop
This workshop focuses on communication as a central skill in everyday academic life. With the help
of the participants, we will interactively discuss different forms of communication. The focus is not
so much on the thematic content, but on the way we can bring our scientific topics closer to diffe-
rent target groups. This includes working with the media (e.g. in the form of an interview), but also
deals with presentations as well as the so-called „Elevator Pitch“ (short presentation of one‘s own
research). The workshop is primarily aimed at young academics at doctoral or postdoc level. As the
number of places is limited, please send us a short application stating the topic you will present
briefly (maximum 5 minutes) at the workshop.
Please send applications by e-mail to the society’s secretary, Felix Rietmann (felix.rietmann@unifr.ch)
