The post will be available from 1 March 2021 to 31 October 2022.

A vacancy has arisen for the position of post-doctoral Research Associate in History. The person appointed will join the research project directed by Dr Laure Humbert (PI), ‘Colonial and Transnational Intimacies: Medical Humanitarianism in the French external Resistance, 1940-1945’, funded by the UK Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC Project Grant Ref: AH/T006382/1). The project commenced in January 2021 and will end in January 2023. The Co-Investigators are Professor Bertrand Taithe, director of the Humanitarian Conflict and Response Institute (HCRI), University of Manchester, and Dr Marie-Luce Desgranchamps, Lecturer, University of Geneva.

The position is from 1 March 2021 to 31 October 2022. The appointment will be made at Grade 6, £32,816 per annum on a 0.8FTE basis. It is not subject to renewal.

Given the duration of the project, this position is not suitable for candidates who are still completing a PhD.
